Stuttering Awareness Day
“One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can’t utter.” –James Earl Jones
Oftentimes, we go through life without thinking about communication, not knowing there are many people who struggle to get even a word out clearly. For this cause, SKILD speech therapists joined Grade 11 students @ BESGB to support all those who struggle with stuttering. The aim is to spread awareness to help those students build self-confidence, reduce communication stress, and accept themselves. They have plenty of insight to share, if we just take the time to listen.
Students from BESGB
The SKILD Center gratefully received a generous donation presented by Students of INFLUENCE from BESGB, along with their leader Mrs. Nasr. High schoolers expressed their full support and respect for the National Day for Students with Learning Difficulties (April 22). “Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders” support integration in school and society.
