In celebration of the National Day for Students with Learning Differences, inclusion in higher education was at the forefront of the discussions in the e-conference on “Inclusion in the Times of Distancing”. Taking a solid step towards inclusion at a university level, SKILD and NDU set up a SKILD-led Learning Accommodation Department that serves to support NDU students with special educational needs in times of distance learning (learning disorders, psychological disorders, ADHD and physical impairments), the department continues to provide opportunities for all students with learning difficulties and gives them access to be able to meet course requirements, reach their full potential and succeed in their academic career.

To better support more students with special needs, we are committed to develop further educational programs. The SKILD-NDU collaboration with Lipscomb University plans to see full inclusion at a university level and provide education and workplace training for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
