What is Night To Shine?

Night to Shine is an unforgettable, prom-night experience centered on God’s love, value, and acceptance for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.

This global movement is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF) and is typically hosted simultaneously by churches and organizations worldwide on the Friday before Valentine’s Day.

Globally, the Tim Tebow Foundation collaborates with over 600 institutions each year to host more than 100,000 guests with special needs for a truly memorable evening.

SKILD Center serves as a key partner in spearheading this beautiful global initiative within the Middle East Region.

The Royal Treatment

The event is designed to give guests the royal treatment they deserve.

  • Red Carpet Entrance: Guests arrive on a red carpet, often stepping out of a limousine, to the cheers of a crowd and paparazzi-style photographers.
  • Royal Pampering: The evening typically includes hair and makeup stations, shoe-shining, and volunteers who act as “buddies” to accompany and assist the guests throughout the night.
  • Celebration: The night features dinner, dancing, crafts, and various fun activities.
  • Crowning Ceremony: The highlight of the evening is the crowning moment, where every single honored guest is crowned a king or queen.

By hosting Night to Shine, SKILD directly fulfills its mission of inclusion and valuing individuals with special needs by:

  • Promoting Acceptance: The event actively celebrates individuals with special needs, reminding the broader community that they are worthy of respect, love, and inclusion.
  • Providing Joy: It brings joy and a sense of belonging to special needs individuals and provides a much-needed night of community and recognition for their parents and caregivers.
  • Community Involvement: The event involves hundreds of volunteers and often includes high-profile individuals and celebrities from Lebanon, showcasing broad support for the cause.
