Dr. Naomi Graham, an expert occupational therapist and the founder of Growing Hope in the UK, provided SKILD team with an interactive training session on occupational therapy. The workshop was full of activities to highlight how to use the different senses and to teach the staff about non-standard senses and how to activate them. Dr. Graham also taught the team how to balance the “body engine” of a child, or in other words how much energy he/she has. She gaves them effective tools of how to slow down the body engine when a child is very energetic, and how to make it faster when the child is feeling sleepy.
