Equipping Leaders for Real Impact
Equipping Leaders for Real Impact To turn this mission into action, Syrian community leaders across schools, churches, and civic spaces…
At the heart of the SKILD Center’s mission is a profound commitment to ensuring that every individual finds a place of refuge and peace within their community, especially within the church environment. One of the most vital components of this mission is running a dedicated series of workshops in churches aimed at spreading awareness and fostering genuine acceptance.
The core purpose of these workshops is to educate church communities on how to fully embrace and accept all children with special needs, regardless of the severity or complexity of their challenges. We believe the church must stand as a true sanctuary—a place where everyone belongs.
These children, like all of us, are created in God’s image and on His resemblance. This fundamental theological truth is the foundation of our work: every child is a precious and intentional reflection of the Divine.
Our training sessions provide practical guidance and theological grounding to help church leaders, volunteers, and congregants:
Understand the diverse needs and gifts of children with special needs.
Remove physical and social barriers that hinder their participation.
Cultivate a welcoming, compassionate, and inclusive environment.
By conducting these workshops, SKILD Center strives to ensure that the church lives up to its calling as a place where all of God’s children can find peace, grow in faith, and actively participate in the life of the community.
